Now I’ve never been a fan of a “challenge” as it usually means you commit to something for the short-term and then go back to your usual habits and routine after the challenge ends.
My hope for you with this YOURMOOVment Challenge is that it helps you develop a positive relationship with Functional Strength training and it becomes something you enjoy and look forward to doing for the long-term.
As we move through Midlife and Menopause our muscle mass becomes so much more important for our functional health, our strength, our bone density and to ensure we stay independent as we age.
I’d love to help you stay consistent with your strength training and make it a part of your life. This is why I created this Challenge.
What’s included in the Challenge?
• A 4-Week Functional Strength Progressive Program delivered via an app. This includes 3x 35minute workouts each week. Every exercise has a video demonstration as well as a detailed text description.
• An optional 12 Week *Customised Online Nutritional Plan which is based on the foods you enjoy eating & includes “treat” foods and/or alcohol if chosen. This is NOT a restrictive diet plan, it’s designed around the goals you choose for yourself. It comes with a 4 Week, 8 Week & 12 Week email check-in with a qualified Nutritionist. You get 4 different meal plans to rotate through and you get to pick how those are broken up into meals/snacks throughout the day. Your dietary requirements are taken into account. *It is important to make sure you’re eating enough to support muscle growth when you’re strength training.
**If you have chosen to get a Nutrition Plan and would like it to be ready by the start of the challenge, then please signup by 20th January. Otherwise I can’t promise your plan will be ready in time for the 27th January start date.
• A weekly video summary that will be put together by me, covering any questions that have come up through the week or any updates to the workouts or app. This will also include in depth technique demonstrations on all the major strength movements in the Challenge.
• At the end of the challenge you will have the option to sign up to my YOUR MOOV Functional Strength Program for a Forever discounted price. This program is delivered through the same app and is structured the same as the Challenge but comes with more options and variety.
• During the Challenge you can message me any time in the app and send me videos so I can check your form if you like.
How much is it?
If you choose to just do the strength program on its own, the cost will be $59 (Australian Dollars) & if you choose to include the Customised Online Nutrition Plan, it will cost $279 (Australian Dollars) or you can pay $55.80 (Australian Dollars) per week over the 5 weeks.
When does it start?
You will have access to the program from Monday 20th January 2025 but the Challenge will only start on Monday 27th January 2025. This means you have 7 days to familiarise yourself with the app and the workouts/exercises. I will send through a Video Summary on Sunday 26th January to answer any questions about the program that have come up during the Preview Week before we kick off on 27th.
What equipment will I need?
Depending on your current level of ability you may not need any equipment to begin with but I’ve kept it to a bare minimum of suggesting you have:
1x 3kg Dumbbell or Kettlebell
1x 5kg Dumbbell or Kettlebell
1x 7kg Dumbbell or Kettlebell
1x Light Microband Resistance Band
This Challenge is suitable for those who have Strength trained in the past as well as those of you who may be new to strength training. If you’ve strength trained in the past, you may already have a good idea of what weights you need & I’d suggest having at least one heavier option for squat/deadlift movements.
